What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use this service, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We keep this brief because we collect very little data.

What data we collect and why

Your name and email address

We collect your name and email address when you make a purchase. We use these to send your purchase confirmation and deliver your document.

Legal basis: Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR).

We do not use your email for marketing. We do not share it with anyone other than the payment processor and the email delivery service used to send your confirmation.

Payment information

Your payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see, receive, or store your card details — they go directly to Stripe. Stripe's privacy policy explains how they handle your payment data: stripe.com/gb/privacy.

Legal basis: Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR).

Information you enter to generate your document

You input personal information into the tool to generate your document. This information is never stored. It exists only for the seconds it takes to produce your document, and is permanently discarded the moment your document is delivered. We have no record of it after that point.

Legal basis: Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR).

Website analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how visitors use this site — for example, which pages are viewed, how visitors arrived here, and general device and location information (such as country and browser type).

Plausible does not use cookies and does not track you across websites. It does not collect or store any personal data that could identify you, and it never has access to the information you enter to generate your document. Because no personal data or cookies are involved, no cookie consent banner is required for this analytics use.

Plausible is provided by Plausible Analytics OÜ, based in Estonia (EU), and data is processed on EU servers.

Legal basis: Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) — understanding and improving how the site is used, balanced against the minimal privacy impact since no personal data is processed.

How long we keep your data

DataRetention
Your name and emailUp to 6 years (required for tax records)
Payment records6 years (HMRC requirement — held by Stripe)
Information entered into the toolNever stored — discarded immediately
Website analyticsAggregate, anonymised statistics only; no personal data is stored, so individual retention does not apply

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict how we use it. Because we hold very little — just your name, email, and a transaction record — most requests are simple to fulfil.

To exercise any right, contact us at hello@inorder.uk. We will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO):

We would appreciate the chance to resolve any concern first — please contact us before approaching the ICO.
